Connected in motherhood

Motherhood has been the focus of many nurturing conversations for us lately, as Jaimie prepares to transition into motherhood and Sharni prepares to transition back to work at Be You after birthing her two precious boys.

The transition into motherhood and back to work after maternity leave can be a vulnerable experience. These transitions call for tenderness, compassion and connection within the workplace and in the broader contexts of our lives.

Sharing our experiences of pregnancy and motherhood with people we trust can be a protective factor, contributing to feelings of belonging and emotional wellbeing.

Jaimie shares her experience of pregnancy in this audio with her characteristic warmth, validation and care. [5:17 minute listen time.]

In the audio above, Jaimie mentions a book I gifted her late last year called The Motherhood Space, by Gabrielle Nancarrow. The Motherhood Space is a gentle, kind companion for mothers. Jaimie shares more about this compassionate book in this audio. [2:08 minute listen time.]
