Professional supervision for occupational therapists
Benefit from a therapeutic approach to supervision, with a focus on enhancing your clinical practice and your wellbeing. You’ll have a space to reflect, grow and progress with clarity and confidence.
Are you looking for a supervisor who cares about your overall wellbeing as well as your clinical practice?
Professional supervision can help you:
Meet your professional requirements under the Australian Occupational Therapy Competency Standards.
Keep up to date with current evidence-based OT practices.
Sustainably meet your billable targets with minimal impact on your wellbeing, while focusing on therapeutic excellence.
Develop intentional therapeutic ‘use of self’ practices to optimise meaningful and transformational connection with your clients.
Discover how to apply OT principles and practices in your own life, increasing professional excellence and fulfilment as an occupational therapist.
Actively engage in the ongoing development of your clinical identity and the refinement of your clinical style.
Extend your clinical support network and develop the skills required to transition into leadership roles or private practice.

Therapeutic supervision
Therapeutic supervision provides a space for you to reflect on the emotional and personal aspects of your work. It helps you process challenges, prevent burnout and stay aligned with your professional values. Through this approach, you’ll develop greater self-awareness, strengthen your emotional regulation and make ethical decisions with confidence.
Tailored professional supervision for OTs
-
For Occupational Therapists
Professional supervision can help you feel more supported in your role, while also developing coping skills, acquiring and competently applying clinical knowledge, and accessing a platform for clinical debriefing.
-
For sole practitioners and small business owners
When working for yourself or starting your own private practice, internal professional supervision is often unavailable. Accessing external sessions with our suitably skilled supervisors will ensure you can continue to meet required Australian occupational therapy competency standards.
-
For large clinics and OT employers
Research shows that offering your employees external professional supervision has a positive impact on staff retention, job satisfaction and quality of life. It also reduces burnout and absenteeism, and positions you as an employer of choice.
A human-centred approach to professional supervision
Kimmy’s approach is influenced by her extensive experience that people feel integrated, fulfilled and whole when what they do meets their needs for being, becoming and belonging (as defined in the Model of Occupational Wholeness).
Professional supervision at Be You therefore aims to nurture you as an occupational therapist in your being, becoming, belonging and doing.
Being
Being incorporates self-awareness, reflective capacity and identity. Kimmy creates a sanctum in supervision for occupational therapists to safely explore identity, values, beliefs, strengths, skills, areas for exploration and growth, passions and desires.
Becoming
Becoming refers to ongoing development, clinical competency and the cultivation of self. Kimmy supports occupational therapists to identify and pursue clinical interests and learning priorities in a way that promotes fulfilment and competency.
Belonging
Belonging emphasises the importance of feeling connected within the supervisory relationship, within the work environment and within the profession. Kimmy fosters occupational therapists’ sense of belonging to promote growth, connection and collaboration.
Doing
Doing refers to the application of knowledge and skill in clinical practice. Kimmy supports occupational therapists to cultivate clinical competency and the embodiment of the OT role.
Kimmy is skilled in supporting OTs working within private practice and the NDIS system.
Kimmy is also experienced in and committed to supervising occupational therapists who have a lived experience of autism and who experience attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
Kimmy can supervise you in:
Paediatrics
