One of our protective factors against burnout

Chook (my nickname for Jaimie) and I go away together several times per year as an investment in our wellness, our relationship and our ability to optimally fulfil our role as OTs.

Every time we go away together we experience personal growth and a strengthening of our bond, which enhances our ability to thrive at work together.

Going away together has been a consistent protective factor for us in avoiding burnout. It has facilitated our creative and strategic input at work.

Last week we spent a few days hiking at Cradle Mountain. In this video we share reflections made during the trip while hiking.

The days were long (Tassie has daylight savings at the moment). The weather was stunning. We were treated to unobstructed views of the Cradle Mountain. I’d a view of the mountain from one of our walks.
